1. Website Use
The content of this site, including technical guides, reference tables and dimensional data, is provided for general information. Standards are revised, and where a figure matters to a design the governing document is the current edition of the standard itself, together with any operator or project specification that takes precedence over it. Nothing on this site is engineering advice for a specific application, and it does not replace verification by a competent engineer.
Site content is the property of Oman Piping Solution unless stated otherwise.

Validity
Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation. Where none is stated, [CLIENT TO CONFIRM default validity period]
Price basis
Prices reflect alloy surcharges, freight and exchange rates at the date of quotation and are subject to confirmation at order
Scope
A quotation covers only the items listed on it. Items not listed are not included, whether or not they are implied by the line list
Lead time
Lead times quoted are estimates confirmed at order, and are subject to mill availability in the stated grade, size and condition
Errors
Obvious clerical errors in a quotation may be corrected before acceptance
3. Orders
An order is accepted when confirmed in writing. The order confirmation, together with any specification and testing scope agreed in it, is the governing description of what is supplied.
Changes after order confirmation, including changes to grade, size, testing scope, certification type or delivery requirement, may affect price and delivery and require written agreement. A change to certification type after production has begun may not be possible at all, because EN 10204 3.2 certification requires witnessed testing.
4. Specifications and Tolerances
Material is supplied to the governing standard and to any project specification stated on the order. Material meeting the standard and the stated specification is conforming.
Dimensional and weight tolerances are those of the applicable standard. Material within tolerance is conforming, including where delivered weight differs from a calculated weight. Where weight is the basis of payment, the weighing basis is as stated on the order.
Where an enquiry or order is ambiguous, the interpretation applied will be confirmed in writing before manufacture or allocation. Buyers are asked to state the governing specification and its edition, because an offer made against a standard minimum may not satisfy a project document.
Substitutions and deviations are offered for written approval with the difference stated. No alternative is supplied as a like-for-like equivalent without that approval. Equivalence between standards, such as an EN grade against an ASTM callout, is treated as a deviation.

Risk passes as defined by the agreed Incoterm. Title passes on [CLIENT TO CONFIRM, commonly full payment]
Part delivery
Permitted where agreed, with each part delivery treated as a separate performance
Delays outside reasonable control
Including mill delays, force majeure events, port and customs disruption, and transport disruption, which extend the delivery period rather than giving rise to liability
Receiving
The buyer is responsible for access, offloading capability and lifting at the delivery point unless otherwise agreed
Buyers should confirm the heaviest and longest single item before despatch, since trailer, permit and site lifting requirements follow from it.
6. Inspection and Acceptance
Material should be inspected on arrival. Claims relating to quantity, visible damage or shortage should be notified within [CLIENT TO CONFIRM period] of delivery, and claims relating to conformity within [CLIENT TO CONFIRM period] of delivery.
Where third party inspection was arranged, release following that inspection is taken as acceptance of the matters inspected.
Material that has been cut, machined, welded, coated or otherwise worked is taken as accepted, except in respect of defects that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand.
7. Certification
EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are supplied as standard; 3.2 certificates are supplied where ordered and arranged before testing. Certificates are issued against the material supplied, traceable by heat number.
Where material is cut or partially supplied, identification is transferred and split certification is issued accordingly. Buyers who will cut material further are responsible for maintaining identification across their own cuts.
8. Liability
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM with legal adviser.] The commercial position commonly adopted in this trade is that liability is limited to the replacement of non-conforming material or a refund of its price, with consequential losses, including loss of production, delay damages and downstream costs, excluded. The limits applicable, and any that cannot lawfully be excluded, should be set by a qualified adviser for the jurisdictions served.
9. Payment
Payment terms are as stated on the order. [CLIENT TO CONFIRM default terms, currency handling and any late payment provision.] Quotations may be issued in USD, OMR, AED, SAR, QAR, KWD or BHD.
10. Governing Law
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM governing law and dispute resolution forum.] This site serves Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, and the governing law and forum should be chosen deliberately rather than by default.
Legal Review Note
This document is drafted as a working basis for Oman Piping Solution and is not legal advice. The bracketed items, the liability position, the governing law and the claim periods should be settled with a qualified adviser before publication, taking account of every jurisdiction supplied into.
