About Oman Piping Solution

When a procurement engineer evaluates Oman Piping Solution as a new supplier, three questions decide it: can we meet the specification, can we supply the paperwork that goes with it, and will the material arrive on site in the condition it left? Oman Piping Solution provides pipes, tubes, fittings, flanges, plates, and bars to all process, pipeline, and utility projects in Oman and the GCC as a whole, but every order starts with the enquiry, not the catalogue. A line item written in nominal size with no wall, grade, condition or certification level is not an order yet. We check it before we quote. The full product range sits under pipes and tubes and pipe fittings and flanges.

Product pages carry the chemistry, mechanical properties, dimensional tables and the governing standard for each grade, so a specification can be checked against the page before an enquiry is sent.

How We Work on an Enquiry

  1. The enquiry is read against the standard. Grade, standard edition, product specification level, dimensional standard, end finish and certification level are checked as a set, not individually.
  2. Gaps are raised before the offer. A missing design minimum temperature, a pressure class quoted without a facing, a buttweld fitting ordered without a pipe wall, a sour service line with no NACE requirement stated: these are queried at enquiry stage, because they are far cheaper to resolve then than at inspection.
  3. The offer states what is being supplied. Grade and standard, manufacturing route, heat treatment condition, dimensional tolerance basis, certification level, test scope, packing and Incoterm.
  4. Documentation is matched to the material. Heat numbers on the certificate are traceable to the marking on the item.

This is deliberately unglamorous. Most material problems on GCC projects are not metallurgical surprises. They are specification mismatches that were visible in the enquiry and nobody checked.

Markets and Sectors We Serve

Material is supplied into upstream oil and gas, sour gas developments, gas processing and LNG, refining and petrochemicals, power generation, desalination and water treatment, fertilizer and chemical plants, offshore and marine, and infrastructure and fabrication work. Buyers are typically project procurement teams, EPC contractors, fabricators and plant maintenance departments in Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Sector detail is set out under industries we serve, including oil and gas, refinery and petrochemical, desalination and water treatment and EPC and project supply.

Material Certification and Traceability

Material is supplied with certification to EN 10204. Level 3.1 is the standard, issued by the manufacturer and validated by the manufacturer's authorised inspection representative, independent of the manufacturing department. Level 3.2 certification, countersigned by a third party inspection agency or by the purchaser's representative, is arranged where the project requires it and is stated at enquiry.

Positive material identification is recommended on any alloy, stainless, duplex or nickel item, because the common failure is not a bad heat of material but the right certificate attached to the wrong fitting. The heat number marking and the certificate are the only link between the two, so marking is preserved through packing, shipment and issue.

Further detail is on the MTC and EN 10204 certification guide and the quality policy.

Sour Service and Gulf Conditions

Sour gas is a defining service condition across Oman and Saudi Arabia, and it changes the material requirement rather than adding a line to it. NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156 set hardness limits, heat treatment conditions and, for corrosion resistant alloys, an envelope that depends on hydrogen sulphide partial pressure, chloride content and temperature. Buyers commonly require HIC testing to NACE TM0284 and SSC testing to NACE TM0177. These requirements are specified at enquiry and carried through the certificate, because standard commercial material is not supplied against them.

Coastal conditions matter too. High ambient temperature, humidity, airborne chlorides and sand affect how material survives the laydown yard, not only how it performs in service. Packing is specified for sea freight and Gulf storage: end caps, bevel and flange face protection, segregation of alloy and stainless from carbon steel, and coating where the product form warrants it.

Logistics into the Region

Shipments are arranged into the ports that GCC projects normally nominate, including Sohar, Duqm and Salalah in Oman, Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. Standard pipe lengths of 5.8 m and 11.8 m are supplied where the grade and standard allow, because those lengths load into 20 ft and 40 ft containers without cutting. Incoterm and destination port are confirmed on the offer. Lead time is confirmed at quotation.

Questions Buyers Ask Before Registering a Supplier

What does Oman Piping Solution supply?

Pipes, tubes, fittings, flanges, plates, sheets and bars in carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, alloy chrome moly, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex, nickel alloy, copper nickel and titanium, against the governing ASTM, ASME, API and EN standards.

Which countries do you supply to?

Oman and the wider GCC, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

What certification is supplied with the material?

EN 10204 3.1 certification is the standard level. EN 10204 3.2 certification, countersigned by a third party inspection agency or the purchaser's representative, is arranged when it is requested at enquiry.

Can you supply material for sour service under NACE MR0175?

Material is supplied against NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156 when the sour requirement is stated at enquiry, including hardness limits, heat treatment condition and testing such as HIC to NACE TM0284 and SSC to NACE TM0177.

What lengths do you supply for container shipment?

Pipe is supplied in 5.8 m and 11.8 m lengths where the grade and standard allow, so material loads into 20 ft and 40 ft containers without cutting.

What do I need to send for a quotation?

Grade and standard, product form, OD or NPS, wall or schedule or pressure class, length, quantity, end finish, certification level, inspection requirement, destination port and required date.

Talk to Us About a Project

Send the line list, the bulk material take off or a single urgent item. Enquiries are checked against the governing standard before the offer is prepared, so specification gaps are raised while they are still cheap to fix.
